The Association for Pet Loss and Bereavement offers a wealth of information on pet loss including chat rooms, readings and counselor listings.  My practice is listed under "Support" and "Counselors" in the state of Georgia. 

National Suicide Prevention Lifeline

1-800-273-TALK (8255), is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and provides free, confidential help. 

NAMI: National Alliance on Mental Illness

NAMI is the National Alliance on Mental Illness, the nation’s largest grassroots organization for people with mental illness and their families. Founded in 1979, NAMI has affiliates in every state and in more than 1,100 local communities across the country.

National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH)

The mission of NIMH is to transform the understanding and treatment of mental illnesses through basic and clinical research, paving the way for prevention, recovery and cure.

Survivors of Suicide (SOS)

The purpose of the Survivors Of Suicide web site is to help those who have lost a loved one to suicide resolve their grief and pain in their own personal way.

Al-Anon and Alateen

For over 55 years, Al-Anon (which includes Alateen for younger members) has been offering strength and hope for friends and families of problem drinkers. It is estimated that each alcoholic affects the lives of at least four other people... alcoholism is truly a family disease.

Alcoholics Anonymous (AA)

Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking.

Narcotics Anonymous (NA)

NA is a nonprofit fellowship...for whom drugs had become a major problem...whom meet regularly to help each other stay clean.

National Association of Social Workers

The National Association of Social Workers (NASW) is the largest membership organization of professional social workers in the world, with 150,000 members.  I have a profile listed with NASW under "Find a Clinical Social Worker," with additional  information about my practice.
